Abstract

Background: Indonesian and international students in Thailand face significant mental health challenges. Survey data revealed that over 40% experienced depression and anxiety, and more than half reported poor quality of life. Objective: This program aimed to provide accessible and sustainable mental health education and monitoring services for Indonesian students in Thailand. Method: In collaboration with PERMITHA, the program included online mental health education sessions, WHO-based self-assessments, and a WhatsApp-based counseling service. A mental health monitoring website was also developed, where partners serve as admins and the community service team as super admin. Evaluation was conducted through pre- and post-tests, and regular monitoring of self-assessment results. Result: The program was well received by PERMITHA and is planned to become an annual initiative. Survey findings showed that 40.83% of respondents experienced depression, 44.19% reported anxiety, and 74.16% had poor psychological quality of life. The website enables continuous mental health monitoring by the partner organization. Conclusion: This program effectively raised awareness and support for student mental health. It is recommended to expand the consultation service and develop digital campaigns to reach a broader audience of students in Thailand.
