Pendidikan Kesehatan: Cara Menyusui Yang Benar Pada Ibu Menyusui Di Era Pasca Pandemi Covid-19

Abstrak

Latar belakang: Pasca pandemi Covid-19, layanan kesehatan pada ibu menyusui berangsur-agsur kembali normal, namun tetap harus menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Peran tenaga kesehatan dalam memberikan konseling dan informasi kepada ibu menyusui agar tetap menerapkan protokol kesehatan dapat lebih maksimal dengan adanya pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh dosen kebidanan dan keperawatan maternitas. Dosen kebidanan dan keperawatan maternitas perlu mengaplikasikan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan dalam bentuk Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) yang berupa pendidikan kesehatan. Tujuan: Tujuan PkM ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu menyusui dalam menyusui bayi berdasarkan protokol kesehatan pada masa pasca pandemi Covid-19.  Metode: Ssaaran PkM adalah ibu menyusui sejumlah 20 orang. PkM ini dilakukan dalam tiga tahap, yaitu tahap persiqapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan dimulai dengan prestest menggunakan kuesioner sejumlah 10 pertanyaan, selanjutnya dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan berupa sodialisasi cara menyusui pasca pandemi Covid-19. Evaluasi kegiatan melalui post-test menggunakan kuesioner dengan pertanyaan yang sama seperti pretest. Hasil: Hasil post-test menunjukkan sejumlah 100% peserta memiliki pengetahuan baik tentang mencuci tangan sebelum dan sesudah menyusui, menggunakan masker, membersihkan permukaan yang disentuh dengan disinfektan, menerapkan etika batuk dan bersin. Kesimpulan: Kegiatan PkM yang berupa pendidikan kesehatan tentang cara menyusui pasca pandemi Covid-19 dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu menyusui tentang cara menyusui pasca pandemi Covid-19 yang meliputi mencuci tangan sebelum dan sesudah menyusui, menggunakan masker, membersihkan permukaan yang disentuh dengan disinfektan, menerapkan etika batuk dan bersin.

Abstract

Background: After the Covid-19 pandemic, health services for breastfeeding mothers have gradually returned to normal, but they still have to implement health protocols. The role of health workers in providing counseling and information to breastfeeding mothers so that they continue to implement health protocols can be maximized with community service conducted by midwifery and maternity nursing lecturers. Midwifery and maternity nursing lecturers need to apply the results of research conducted in Community Service in health education. Objective: This activity aims to increase the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers in breastfeeding their babies based on health protocols during the post-Covid-19 pandemic. Method: The participants amount 20 breastfeeding mothers. This activity was carried out in three stages, namely the preparation, implementation, and evaluation stages. The activity began with a pre-test using a questionnaire with a total of 10 questions, then health education was carried out in the form of socialization on how to breastfeed after the Covid-19 pandemic. Evaluation of activities through the post-test using a questionnaire with the same questions as the pre-test. Result: Post-test results showed that 100% of participants knew well about washing hands before and after breastfeeding, using masks, cleaning touched surfaces with disinfectants, and applying to cough and sneezing ethics. Conclusion: These activities in the form of health education on how to breastfeed after the Covid-19 pandemic can increase the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers about how to breastfeed after the Covid-19 pandemic which includes washing hands before and after breastfeeding, using masks, cleaning touched surfaces with disinfectant, applying ethics cough and sneeze.
